The history of Barcelbordados began in 1995 with a dream of Rui Martins: to combine design with technology, the past with the future, and to create a brand that reflected the best of embroidery tradition with the latest technological advances.
The initial core was the development of programs (films) for embroidery machines. From there, Barcelbordados evolved into large-scale embroidery production and expanded distribution in Portugal and Europe.
Today, the company is led by Rui Martins and his wife, Celeste Duarte, who together coordinate a team of over 70 people.
